Life is messy and chaotic. The world is filled with conflict, disasters, and broken promises of peace.                                                                Despite global rhetoric, fighting and bombings continue, leaving many overwhelmed and hopeless.
Today, I want to draw our attention to another tragedy: the ongoing devastation in Vietnam, where floods                                                        have displaced over 100 million people. Homes destroyed, lives lost, and the collapse of food and medical                                                  supplies remind us of how fragile life can be.

So where is God in all this? As Christians, we don’t have easy answers. We too feel the weight of grief,                                                          fear, and loss. Yet, in this season of Advent—a time of waiting and preparing—we are reminded of God’s promises.
Advent is not only about celebrating Christ’s birth but also anticipating His return, when all will be restored.                                                        In the midst of suffering, we cling to faith in a God who knows the future and assures us of a NEW DAY

“For surely I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for your welfare and not for harm,                                                                     to give you a future with hope.” —  Jeremiah 29:11 (NRSVue)

This verse reminds us that even when sorrow and distrust cloud our vision, God’s plans remain steadfast.                                                    Amidst life’s storms, we are called to trust, to wait, and to hope.
