Receive the gift—and with it, transform the world.
On this Feast of Corpus Christi, we celebrate the astonishing truth at the heart of our faith: Christ is truly present in the Eucharist—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity. In the breaking of the bread, heaven touches earth, and God draws near to nourish, heal, and unite us.
The Eucharist is both gift and mission. We receive Christ so that we may become His presence in the world—carrying mercy, compassion, and peace into every encounter.
God Feeds His People Deuteronomy 8:2–3, 14b–16a
Moses reminds Israel—and us—of God’s unwavering faithfulness. God leads us through our deserts, frees us from the slavery of sin, and feeds us with bread from heaven. The Eucharist continues this same divine care: God providing what we cannot provide for ourselves.
One Bread, One Body 1 Corinthians 10:16–17
St. Paul invites us to stand in awe of the mystery we receive. In Holy Communion, we do not simply remember Jesus—we enter into communion with Him, sharing in His very life. And because we share the one Bread, we become one Body. In a world fractured by division, the Eucharist draws us back together, heals relationships, and reminds us that we belong to God—and therefore, to one another.
Christ feeds us with Himself so that we may become what we receive.
The Bread of Life John 6:51–59
Jesus calls us to see the Eucharist not as ritual, but as encounter—an encounter with the same Lord who healed the sick, carried the Cross, and rose in glory. Just as food sustains the body, the Bread of Life strengthens our souls, deepens our love, and equips us to live as disciples.
To receive Christ is to be sent by Christ. Nourished at His table, we are called to nourish others with compassion, forgiveness, and truth.
